Nestled in the northeast corner of Georgia, Black Rock Mountain State Park is the state's highest elevation state park at more than 3600 feet. Epic views can be had from the Visitor Center and several overlooks along the drive up but you're here for the hiking trails. From the flat Black Rock Lake Trail loop and the short Ada-Hi Falls waterfall trail to the slightly more difficult Tennessee Rock Trail that summits the park's namesake mountain and challenging longer James E. Edmonds Backcountry Trail loop, Black Rock Mountain State Park has something for every skill level.

James E. Edmonds Backcountry Trail

The most difficult hike in the park, the James E. Edmonds Backcountry Trail will take you on a roller coaster of steep hills, giving your cardiovascular heath a checkup.

Hike to lofty views along the Tennessee Rock Trail, looping over the summit of Black Rock Mountain and to sweeping views to the northwest.

At less than half a mile round-trip, Ada-Hi Falls trail is perfect for those that don't want to spend hours on the trail. This hike may be short, but it descends quite steeply making it a tough climb on the way out.
